1. Who we are

By using the Service, the user accepts these Terms & Conditions. If they are not accepted, the Service must not be used.
2. What the Service is
Imperia Today is a local guide to places (restaurants, shops, hotels, and other venues) and events in the province of Imperia, Italy. The information published for each place or event, such as opening hours, contact details, descriptions, and ratings, is provided for general informational purposes only and may change without notice at the initiative of the relevant business or organizer.
The Owner may modify, update, or remove any published content at any time, in its sole discretion and without prior notice, including listings, events, and reviews.
3. Accuracy of information
Reasonable efforts are made to keep listings accurate and up to date, including information sourced from public sources (for example Google Places) or provided directly by business owners and event organizers. However, no guarantee is given that content is complete, current, or error-free.
Before relying on information such as opening hours, prices, or availability, users are encouraged to verify it directly with the relevant business or organizer.
4. User-submitted content
Through the Service's public forms, users may:
suggest a place for inclusion ("Submit a place");
propose an event for publication ("Submit an event");
request an advertising placement ("Advertise").
By submitting content through those forms, the user represents that:
the information provided is accurate to the best of the user's knowledge;
the user has the necessary rights to submit uploaded photos, videos, or other materials and that submission does not infringe third-party rights;
the user has the consent of any identifiable person shown in uploaded materials;
the user will not submit unlawful, defamatory, misleading, or third-party-rights-infringing content.
The user retains ownership of submitted content. By submitting it, the user grants the Owner a broad, non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, host, reproduce, adapt (for example resize or compress an image), publish, and display that content in connection with operating and promoting the Service, for as long as the content remains published or as otherwise described in the Privacy Policy.
Each submission is reviewed before publication. The Owner reserves the right to accept, reject, edit, or request changes to submitted content, in its sole discretion and without any obligation to explain its decision.
5. Ratings and reviews
Where the Service displays ratings or reviews, for example through "Submit a place," those items reflect the opinion of the person who submitted them and not the Owner's own assessment. It is not verified that every rating corresponds to an actual visit or transaction, although the Owner may remove content reasonably believed to be fraudulent or abusive.
6. Advertising
Businesses may purchase advertising placements on the Service through the "Advertise" form and a subsequent agreement with the Owner. Advertisements are identified as such and remain the advertiser's responsibility.
The Owner does not endorse or guarantee the products, services, or claims contained in advertisements and is not responsible for their content. Any third-party logo, trademark, or brand asset shown in an advertisement or listing remains the property of its respective owner and is used only to identify the relevant business or advertiser.
7. Acceptable use and data extraction
When using the Service, the user agrees not to:
attempt to disrupt, overload, or interfere with the normal operation of the Service, including by circumventing anti-spam or anti-bot measures;
scrape, crawl, harvest, or otherwise systematically extract data from the Service, in whole or in part, by automated or manual means, for republication, commercial use, or the creation of a competing product or database, without the Owner's prior written permission;
impersonate another person or business, or submit content on behalf of a business without authorization;
use the Service for unlawful purposes.
The Owner may suspend or block access to the Service for any user or system reasonably believed to be in breach of these Terms.
8. Intellectual property
The design, layout, and original textual or editorial content of the Service are owned by or licensed to the Owner and may not be reproduced without permission. User-submitted content remains governed by Section 4.
9. External links and third-party content
The Service relies on and links to third-party services as described in the Privacy Policy, including map-tile providers, routing services, spam-prevention tools, and analytics providers. Part of the information displayed by the Service, such as map data, directions, and some listing details, comes from those external providers or is rendered through their services; the Owner does not control and is not responsible for their availability, accuracy, or content.
The Service may also contain links to third-party websites, such as a business website, social-media profiles, or ticketing platforms. Those links are provided solely for convenience. Access to such websites occurs outside the Owner's control and is governed by their own terms and privacy notices, for which the Owner assumes no responsibility.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Owner is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the Service, including damages resulting from inaccurate listing information, unavailability of the Service, or the conduct of businesses, organizers, or advertisers featured on the site.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under Italian law, including cases of wilful misconduct or gross negligence.
11. Changes to the Service and Terms
The Owner may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. The Owner may also update these Terms & Conditions; the last updated date shown at the top always reflects the latest version.
Continued use of the Service after publication of changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
12. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by Italian law. Any dispute relating to these Terms is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the court of Imperia, Italy, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection venue rules that may apply where the user acts as a consumer.
