About Vintage Sails of Imperia 2026
Vintage Sails of Imperia is one of the most prestigious sailing events in the Mediterranean and in 2026 celebrates its 40th edition. From August 28th to September 6th, Imperia becomes the heart of international classic yachting, hosting vintage yachts, classic boats and historic vessels racing in the waters of the Riviera dei Fiori in a unique setting where sport, history and spectacle come together.
The event takes place mainly around Borgo Marina, Calata Anselmi and the harbour quays of Imperia, turning the seafront into a large sailing village open to residents, tourists and sailing enthusiasts. Sailing Week 2026 brings together the 12mR GP World Championship (August 29th – September 1st) and the Vintage Sails of Imperia regattas (September 2nd – 5th), alongside a full calendar of on‑shore events: boats open to visitors along the quay, official ceremonies, talks with sailors and authors, live music, DJ sets, family shows, an elegance parade, fireworks and special initiatives in the city’s museums.
In 2026 the event becomes even more special thanks to the presence of the international 12 Metre fleet, exhibitions dedicated to the history of sailing and workshops designed also for children. Vintage Sails of Imperia is therefore an unmissable event for anyone who loves sailing, the charm of historic yachts and major summer happenings on the Ligurian sea.
